Turkey Day......
Had a very nice Thanksgiving, a lot of food and good company. Ate waaay too much, probably gained a few more #'s. This pic was taken last summer of some of the family kids, not all are here. Had a nice time today and missed the family that couldn't be here. I'm sure we ate enough for everyone and then some. Relaxing now, letting the food settle.
Like I said
A pic of my baby singing on a drum from last weekend. This pic was posted on a website. Got his report card too, he's doing good. Plus, he had a touch of Buck Fever this past weekend when he went hunting with grampa. Called me said they saw a big buck, they thought was a moose so he stalked it for a while but didn't get a shot at it. Oh well, maybe next time.
Muh Glir....and her Man
What the heck, here's a pic of my other baby and her man. Call her Muh Glir, or (just Bee-u-tee) cuz when she was a little girl about 2, I'd ask her - "what are you a boy or a girl" - she'd say proudly and loudly "I'm a Gliiir". Today, she's on her way to a drum ceremony with a friend and other college classmates. TTFN as Tigger would say.
Sat-ur-day...Muh Baby or I just call him...
Doodle, Doodie, Big Guy, Muh Baby, Dude Man, or just Dude. Grandpa calls him Muh Main Man! This is a picture of him parching rice I harvested with my other baby Muh Glir.Since I got high speed internet, I've enjoyed being on the computer more. Almost too much - it's so easy to sit by the computer while sipping on coffee, tea, or something more stimulating and thought provoking like a good glass of vino, or shingabaaboo. But life outside cyberspace is calling today......my good niijikwe wants me to accompany her to a "hunters ball" north of here somewhere I've never been. That sounds a little scary to this ole shinaab, so I think I'll opt to go and listen to the beat of the drum, while being mesmerized by the dancers in all their finery. Besides, muh baby (he's 17 by the way) is singing on one of the drums. Have a good day!
Happy Belated Halloween!
Didn't have time yesterday, so here tis - - a day late. Nice uh? Got this cute image in my email this morning from a friend. Thought you'd all like it!I may just blog off and on today, who nose. Downloaded a bunch of cool tunes too, a lot of Emmy Lou Harris. Been singing to the cat all morning - lucky guy. Maybe that's why he was so desperate to go out.
Orvie......
Well here's my little glir's "baby" Orville. I figured I'd post this for her since I'm home sick today and she's at school and working. This guy is a cousin to Freedom, Jakey, Ami and little Jack. I think I got all the aminal cousins listed. Had a hard time getting him to pose for me he was determined to run in and out all morning like he likes to do. Nags to go out, then nags to come back in. Truthfully, I'm not an animal person he was kinda forced on me one day. She picked me up from work and I was wondering why she had a big box of laundry detertergent in her back seat, didn't notice the little critter sitting on the floor in the back seat . . . . just looking at me. Then I realized it was cat litter in the box. Been putting up with him since last May. I had to take him to the vet for his 'de-balling' while my daughter was vacationing somewhere. Felt bad when they had to keep him because he developed a blood clot. Oh well, only pet that I've been able to tolerate this long in my house.Maybe I'll do more experimenting with the blog later today, try something different. Don't know what yet, but will venture around the "net" get some ideas and see what happens.
