netting season underway

Well, here's only 3 of the fish we had in our nets this morning, can't really tell from the picture....but the 2 on each end are pretty big. They are now sitting in the freezer, completely de-boned and ready for eating. I know if a sportsmen (or woman) happens to read this, yes we usually throw back the big ones - but in this case we decided to keep 'em.

Have more nets out tonight, and will most likely be cleaning fish most of the day tomorrow.

I bet if some chimookamon caught that one big one on the end there, that would be the catch of a life time. But, oh well......we got it in our nets.

I have more pictures to post and hope to do this tomorrow depending on how busy it is and how tired I am.

And oh, by the way, we have eagles and seagulls at the end of the point that hang around waiting for what we don't use. My son has been putting his tobacco out faithfully, hoping one of the eagles will generously leave him a feather -----we've all been keeping our fingers crossed for him. He makes sure all the birds are well fed at the end of the point.
